*We achieved our goal and raised the $32,000.00 for the MyoCycle Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) bike! Today, our bike is housed at a local physical therapists facility. Therefore, currently we seek ongoing donations to operate the FES bike and eventually fund our own facility for the bike. An FES bike allows the rider to pedal a stationary bike through the use of electrodes placed on specific muscles. This bike allows the rider to reduce muscular atrophy, maintain joint lubrication, reduce pain, and gain muscle strength even if they are unable to independently use their legs or arms.
